The bowl was reintroduced to the STOFF Nagel collection in 2018. Back in the 1960s, when the bowl first saw the light of day, it was designed as an ashtray, but today it is relaunched with a different design purpose. It invites its owner to be even more creative with the STOFF Nagel collection by adding seasonal decorations in the bowl - either in combination with a sculpture or on its own.

Cleaning and maintenance: This special piece is made of solid brass and will patina over a period of time. You can easily remove candle drips and signs of oxidation by placing the bowl in hot water with a bit of citric acid and a drop of detergent. After removing drips you can polish your brass bowl with brass polish to remove oxidation or small spots and bring back the shiny look.

Cleaning and maintenance: This product does not require much maintenance. However you may need to clean it from time to time to remove candle drips and dust. If you get stains from candles, you can remove candle drips by placing the bowl in hot water with a drop of detergent until wax softens. Finish by wiping with a dry, soft cloth.

The brass is left untreated, allowing it to develop a natural patina over time. You can easily remove candle drips by placing the candle holder in hot water with a drop of detergent. Please note that marks may occur on the legs after repeated stacking due to natural wear and tear unveiling the clean brass surface.

This is why your STOFF Nagel product may have traces of patina even as brand new. You can easily remove candle drips by placing the bowl in hot water until wax softens. To remove patina, place the bowl in a solution of hot water with 1 tbsp citric acid per ½ liter water and a drop of detergent. Leave for 10 min. Wipe with dry cloth. If it still shows signs of patina, use brass polish and wipe with dry cloth to bring back the shiny look.
